Summary:
This study aims to reveal the tools and the policies of the Islamic monetary system related to fluctuations in the value of money, and the appropriateness of these policies to the nature of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. The fluctuations that are taking place in the internal and external value of money, is considered to be the most prominent economical problem of the GCC states. which cause economic chaos and hindrances in business transactions, in addition to the huge loses that the reserves of the GCC states are exposed to. The study has concluded that the Islamic Monetary system contains self restrictions and factors that lead to stability in price levels as a whole, as well as stability in exchange rates. further more, the Islamic monetary system policies are very appropriate to the GCC states economies.
